Jevon was introduced to snowcat skiing right out of highschool and soon having his own cat skiing operation became his dream..  Jevon is on site everyday, making sure it all happens and grabbing some pow here and there!

 

Kevin Rankin

Assistant Manager

Kevin's multiple talents and previous experience in the cat skiing industry have made him an invaluable team member since Skeena Cat Skiing inception in 2012.  From carpentry to driving the snowcat to bartending and everything in between, Kevin can always be relied upon to deliver!  He can even be a cowboy!

 

 

Matt Cochan

Ski Guide

Matt loves his job and it shows!  Snowboarder extraordinaire and one of the happiest ski guides we know, you can find Matt at the front or the back of the pack. One thing is guaranteed, wherever he is, he will have a snow eating grin on his face! With years of cat skiing guiding experience and years of being a good friend to owner, Jevon Zyp, Skeena Cat Skiing is stoked to have Matt return.

 

 

 

Isaac Deuling

Ski Guide

Isaac was raised in the foothills of the Monashee Mountains of B.C.  His love of the mountains, snowboarding and skiing began at an early age and in his words "will never wear off".  Isaac currently resides in Haines, Alaska where he works as a guide for Alaska Heliskiing.  Isaac is looking forward to sharing his love and respect for the snowy mountains at Skeena Cat Skiing!

 

 

 

 

Logan Malkow

Cat driver/guide

Logan was raised in Smithers and never got the "erg" to leave!  His boyhood love of tonka toys led him to become an equipment operator, whether it be a sled or a snowcat  or a ?  In the summer, Logan makes his living at carpentry.  Logan is a go getter and strives to be good at everything he does. 

Logan has completed Level 1 Avalanche Training and the 40 hour Advanced Wilderness First Aid training, so is qualified to Tail Guide also.

Karla Charlton

Jill of All

Karla resides in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories where she works as a Hunting Guide. As well as being a qualified tail guide, she is a certified Thai massage therapist.  Karla holds a Photography diploma and has spent the last 6 years filming professional snowboarding.  Her diverse skill set, in addition to being a topnotch snowboarder with a love of the mountains make her a great addition to the Skeena Cat Skiing Team!

 

 

 

 

Melinda Abbey

Chef

Mindy is originally from the Toronto area but now calls the Comox Valley home.  She carries a Culinary Arts Diploma with ten years of experience.  Her creations are not only delicious..they are beautiful!

 

Lynn  Schwartz

Owner, Office Manager

You will find Lynn in the kitchen, at the bar, cleaning, chopping firewood and generally ensuring that Skeena Cat Skiing guests are happy and comfortable.  Lynn also handles bookings, accounting, marketing and can sometimes be convinced to play a few songs! She is looking forward to getting some skiing in this season!
